The Supreme Court has declined to urgently hear YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s request regarding several FIRs related to his controversial comments.

The Supreme Court announced today that it will review influencer Ranveer Allahbadia’s request regarding the FIRs filed against him for his controversial comments made during a YouTube program. A panel led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar informed Abhinav Chandrachud, who represented Allahbadia, that they do not permit oral requests for urgent hearings. The Chief Justice stated that the case has been assigned to a bench and will be addressed in two to three days. This comes after the Assam police summoned Allahbadia to participate in the investigation.
An Assam police team is currently in Pune to serve a summons to comedian Samay Raina related to a case stemming from his now-removed YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’. Raina resides in Balewadi, Pune. A complaint was filed in Guwahati on Monday by a local resident, accusing the show of promoting obscenity. Along with Allahbadia and Raina, others implicated in the Assam case include Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. Previously, Allahbadia was instructed to report to the Khar police station in Mumbai. He is also facing a complaint in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the Maharashtra Cyber Department has initiated a case under the IT Act and requested the removal of all 18 episodes of the comedy show.
